  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp  baking soda
  • 1 tsp  salt
  • ½ c. sour cream

Heat oven to 350°F

In a large bowl beat the butter and sugar until smooth. Blend in the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients.

Combine 2 cups flour and all remaining ingredients except decorator sugars and frosting in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in remaining 2 cups flour.
