Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

DSC_3663 (2)The peanut butter cups are quick and easy with only two ingredients that are staples in most pantries.  Most of us have had a long love affair with peanut butter and chocolate.   There so delicious and not many treats are as satisfying. If you prefer crunchy peanut butter  than use crunchy if your like me it has to be creamy.  And the same goes for chocolate choose what you like for me it’s 60 percent cocoa. But if you like milk chocolate then use it by all means.  The fact that both are good for you makes it even better.  These are way better than what you get at the store and they are supper easy to make.

  • Peanut Butter Cups:
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • natural creamy peanut butter
  • sea-Salt

This make about 12 to 14 candy cups

Line a small muffin pan with paper liners.  Set aside while you melt the chocolate.

Melt 2 cup chocolate in a microwave safe dish for 1 minute. remove from microwave and stir if there are lumps of chips still in the bowl heat for 10 seconds the stir again. Heat again at 10 second burst until all the chocolate chips are melted.

Natural peanut butter fill the cups with about 1 Tablespoon of your choice (creamy or crunchy)

Sea-salt Flakes

place about 2 Tablespoons of chocolate into each  the paper liners.  Using a rubber spatula  spread the chocolate into the bottom of the liner and a little up the sides.  Add 1 large Tablespoon of peanut butter on top of the chocolate in the liner.  Place 2 Tablespoons of chocolate on top of the peanut butter add more if need to cover the peanut butter completely.  Sprinkle top of each cup with  flakes of sea-salt for an extra touch.  Chill for 30 minutes and serve.

Do not underestimate yourself by comparing yourself with others.  It’s our differences that make us uniquely beautiful.
