Maple Pumpkin Pie Spiced Nut Mix
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds shelled
- 1/3 cup Pure maple syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon seasalt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (recipe on this sight)
Preheat oven to 300°
On a parchment paper lined baking sheet pour 1/2 cup each pecans, walnuts, cashews, whole almonds and of course shelled pumpkin seeds. Toast for 10 minutes. While the nuts are toasting in a small sauce pan over medium high heat add 1/3 cup pure maple syrup 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and 1/8 teaspoon seasalt. Bring the syrup mixture to a boil remove nuts for the oven pour them into a medium bowl pour syrup mix over nut and toss being sure to cover all the nut. When the nuts are well coated pour the mix back onto the parchment lined baking sheet and place in the same 300° oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Toss nuts every 10 minutes with a spatula to ensure even baking coating is dry and crisp. Let the maple pumpkin mix cool and serve.
