What could be better than peanut butter and chocolate to satisfy a sweet tooth.  Not much!  These bars are sweet and crunchy and full of protein. That’s a win win!  They make great treats for the little kiddo’s and the big kids love them too.  What’s not to love peanut butter hazel nut butter not much more needs to be said.  If your having a party or attending one these are easy to whip up and everyone likes them.   I just love having a quick treat you can make with the little ones no-bake.

I’ve played around with this recipe and you can do so many different kinds it’s pretty endless.  you can add your favorite cereal in place of the pretzels, m & m’s or nuts pretty much and candy or crunchy you like.  Recipes that are made from ingredients that you have in the pantry are great.  I hope your gang enjoys them as much as we do.

Happy cooking,

Here what you’ll need

Nutella Mix:

  • 2 cups Nutella
  • 1/ 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon course sea-salt

Spray a  9  x 13 baking pan with spray oil and set aside.  Place Nutella, sugar, butter and salt in the bowl of a mixer.  Blend everything together until it forms a nice dough.  Press the mix into the bottom of your baking pan.

Peanut Butter mix:

  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon
  • 2 cup broken pretzels

Place peanut butter, powdered sugar and butter in the bowl of your mixer and blend until well mixed.  Add the pretzels and give a quick mix just enough to blend them in.  Now spread the peanut butter mixture over the Nutella base.  It takes a little finesse but the trick is to use a rubber spatula making sure to get it to the edge.

Chocolate topping:

2 Cups chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate  but, you can use milk or white chocolate oh! oh! how about Reese’s peanut butter, you get the idea.

Heat chips in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute then stir until all the chips are completely melted.  If you have some chip that don’t seem to melt all the way, then heat for 10 second and stir again.  Now spread the chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread to corner.  Refrigerate for about an hour then slice into whatever size pieces you like. To remove from pan us a small off set spatula or an icing spreader.

As you can see I used a small icing spatula for easy removal..
